Jackson Newman is our Credit Cards and Award Travel Editor at Thrifty Traveler, where he writes and edits news articles, guides, and other stories. He joined Thrifty Traveler in April 2023 after more than a decade working in financial services.

Jackson has long had a passion for exploring the world but got bit hard by the travel bug in 2016 when he first discovered points and miles. Since then he’s earned (and redeemed) millions of points and miles through credit card sign-up bonuses, strategic spending, shopping portals, and even charitable donations. All of this has helped him travel better, and more often, for less.

When he’s not traveling, Jackson enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, listening to live music, golfing, and being outdoors.
