Peak summer business class flights to Europe aren't easy to find, and neither are flights to Germany during Oktoberfest, but that's exactly what our Thrifty Traveler Premium members were notified of in their inboxes this week!
Every week, we send dozens of flight deal alerts to our members: dirt-cheap domestic flights in and around the U.S.; inexpensive but comfy long-haul flights to Europe, Asia, and beyond; and plenty of alerts to use your points and miles to fly business or first class all over the globe. But some alerts stand out from the rest.
We call them The Thrifty Traveler Three – or the TT 3, for short. This past week, for instance, we sent this alert for Lufthansa Business Class after the airline announced one of its massive, double-decker Airbus A380 planes would be flying to DEN starting this summer.
How'd we find this deal? Well, we've got a team of nine flight deal experts scouring the globe for the best flight deals every day for our Thrifty Traveler Premium members – departing from more than 200 airports. We run thousands of searches on almost every single route departing the United States or Canada every morning and we deliver the best deals we find straight to your inbox.

This week, we sent more than 25 flight deal alerts to our members. But only a trio can make the cut for The TT 3. Here they are.
3. Fly Delta to Iceland from $309 RT
Iceland flights are known for being inexpensive, but usually that's because of a cheap flight on Icelandair. Delta also runs a robust schedule to Reykjavik (KEF), but their flights are typically far from cheap.
This week, however, we spotted Delta flights sinking in the $300s from airports all over the U.S. with quick connections at New York (JFK).
Our Thrifty Traveler Premium members get cheap flight deals and award alerts to use their points and miles. Join the fun: Use promo code DEAL20 for $20 off your first year!
For Delta flyers intent on visiting one of the most beautiful countries on earth, this was a godsend. The lowest fare was this JFK rate at just over $300 roundtrip!
2. Japan Airlines Biz Class to Tokyo for 60K Miles
This is why you stash away American AAdvantage miles.

When Japan Airlines makes its flights available to its partner American Airlines, these swanky business class seats become available for just 60,000 points each way!
Plus travelers with all of these other airline currencies could have booked these flights, too. So even if you're lacking in the way of AA miles, Alaska, British Airways, or several other partners can get you there anyway.
1. Lufthansa Biz Class to Munich on the A380
The news that Lufthansa would start flying “The Whale” (i.e. the Airbus A380) to Denver meant hundreds of more seats were available every week. That means, booking those seats with points and miles just got a whole lot easier.
The best part about this deal isn't the fancy seat, though, it's the peak summer and Oktoberfest availability – the two best times of year to be in Munich!

Avianca LifeMiles offers the lowest rate on these flights at 69,000 each way, but Air Canada Aeroplan (below) isn't far behind at 70,000. And if all you have is United points, you can burn those at a rate of 88,000 each way, too.
Bottom Line
There you have it: The Thrifty Traveler Three. Our best three flight deals of the week that our Thrifty Traveler Premium members got the first chance at booking.
For travelers looking for business class flights to Germany this summer or during Oktoberfest, Japan Airlines Business Class flights to Tokyo, roundtrip flights to Iceland from $309 on Delta, and more it was a week to remember … but one of just 52 weeks out of the year featuring amazing flight deals.

Do you really think it’s helpful to label fares as a “mistake”? I would suggest doing so is at best naive and at worst wilfully detrimental to your readers and others who avail themselves of these types of airfares.
Does your Thrift Premium service ever include a mix of miles and cash or even gas only for flights from USA to say, Milan? I don’t have tons of points right now and am considering joining this fall.
Your occasional Iberia posts frustrate me. NEVER do I see the point avails that you reference even when I am checking within minutes of getting your Email alerts. This time, I searched the DFW-MAD route via AA as you instructed. I found one date with a 57.5K point 1 way Biz seat in March and a few in Feb and Jan. Nothing in April, May or June and no 34K avail. Checked BOS-MAD and MIA-MAD, they won’t even show the Iberia option and can’t toggle to one way. Seems like clickbait.
You seem to have lots of good deals however we live in Houston, TX and it seems the low fares rarely originate from Houston, although Bush is an international airport!
